Not too far from where I live is a bison farm. That may not seem odd to some because it's normal where you live. I live in New Hampshire though, not the midwest but the east coast up north in New England.

Nestled in the middle of nowhere little town USA New Hampshire lies a very large (300 acres) bison farm and maple sugar shack that have been around since 1892. That's a very long time for something like that to stay in business out here.

Once we found it by accident we haven't been able to stop going to see these big beautiful creatures. Today we got an extra special treat though, they were in an area close by and came right up to the gate to see us. A couple even made a little growling noise at us because they had their babies nearby and wanted to make sure we know who's boss. When an animal that can get up to 15 feet in length and reach up to 3,500 pounds earns you then you definitely take notice.

After speaking calmly to them then stopped making that noise. We took a bunch of pictures, froze our butts off because it started to sleet on us and eventually got back in the truck and left.
